1/7/09 - Texas Music Awards Nomination
With the 2009 release of "Tips & Compliments" I'm eligible for this year's Texas Music Awards. Anyone can nominate an artist and I'd be honored if y'all would consider me (submit nominations by Jan. 22nd). Here are the categories where I'm most eligible:
Song of the Year (maybe "Elizabethtown"),
Male Vocalist of the Year,
Album of the Year,
Rising Star Award,
Singer/Songwriter of the Year,
Producer of the Year (Rich Brotherton)

10/21/09 - Physical CD's Now Available
Well, the new album, "Tips & Compliments" is done and you can purchase a physical copy for yourself right now from the "Songs" tab of this site. They should be available in stores soon, but for now you can only get them at shows and through this site. See below for download info.

08/20/09 - CD's Available Online!
So, the CD is in the manufacturing stage, but you can get ahold of the entire new album, "Tips & Compliments" right now at www.digstation.com . More details to come on the physical CD.

05/26/09 - Wildflower and Unisong
While I'm finalizing the design for the new album I've been competing in a few regional and international song contests. The songs "Walter" and "You're Just Drunk" landed me in the winner's circle at the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival Song Contest and "Drunk" just made the Top 20 for AAA/Americana in the latest Unisong contest!

3/4/09 - Mastered and Anonymous
Well...the CD is finally mastered and I can't wait to get it out into the world. There's a few things I'm trying to work out on the back-end, but check back here or on myspace for release date details. Also, stay tuned for sample tracks to be posted here shortly. Also, check the myspace for the most up-to-date gig listings...this site is geared to the more revolving gigs.

11/21/08 - The Update Skinny
I can't believe it's been May since I updated this. I don't even look like my pictures anymore.
Life is good. My first-ever studio CD is in the final mixing stage and slated for release in Jan.-Feb of '09 and I'm working on the Spring tour schedule. I'm also putting a band together, but that's a whole other update in itself.
I've started putting up some rough mixes from the album up on myspace...I'm gonna rotate in and out as the mixes come in. Hope to see y'all out and about.

05/11/08 - Kerrville Folk Festival
I've been selected to come back to the Kerrville Folk Festival this year and sing a few songs at the Ballad Tree as a regional winner in the New Folk contest. Come out and see why it's one of the most popular folk festivals for decades.

2/8/08 - 1st Studio Album in the Works
Well y'all, I'm finally getting a proper album together...it's been a long time coming, but it will be worth the wait. I'm recording in Houston at Lucky Run Studios and cutting some tracks in Austin with Rich Brotherton (Robert Earl Keen, Caroline Herring) producing.
